I have worked in St Mary’s since 2013 – I started working here before I had even left Sixth Form! I work in Breakfast Club, After School Club, as a midday supervisor and in KS1 and EYFS as a teaching assistant. I love dancing! I started at the age of three and have danced in […]
I have been a teaching assistant at St Mary’s for 16 years, currently working in many different classes. For the last few years I have been learning sign language and now use it almost every day. For several years I was joint leader of Kirkby Lonsdale Pre-school. In a past life I was a professional […]
My name is Andrea Day. I have two children aged 17 and 21. Martha, my youngest, is at QES and currently helping at After School Club. Kim is at Newcastle University studying Heritage. After years of mothering, I am facing an ‘empty nest,’ so I am going to keep very busy with some gardening, home […]
What a fantastic morning of sport with our EYFS and Infant children. Thank you to everyone who came along to support and also help raise funds for Macmillan Care and the PTA.

The children in Year 1 have been bringing their bikes to school each week (thank you parents). They have been learning how to balance, ride without stabilizers, be safe on their bikes, stop safely and listen carefully to instructions. Mrs Ecclestone is very pleased with their progress and has issued each child with a certificate. […]

They also had an opportunity to meet with parents on the school yards in the morning. Five of our Governors spent the […]
We are hosting a meeting in the music room where parents can meet with Mr Jones for a cup of coffee (or tea). This is a great opportunity to chat about school and the future plans for the school. Please go to the music room (in between reception and nursery).
The children in Year 1 enjoyed rolling their eggs down the hill. Happy Easter everyone!
Reception and Year 1 enjoyed some cricket practise, developing our catching, throwing and batting skills.
Well done to everyone at St Mary’s School. We have begun our journey to improving our grounds with a superb gardening extravaganza.
