KLRUFC Festival 2018

Year 4 and Year 6 all headed down to Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Union Football Club to attend their Primary School Festival, along with 16 other schools and 400 children!  (link to site here)

Although the weather was rather damp at the start, it quickly improved to give glorious blue skies as we played mini games and developed our skills in the morning.  We then had a quick break for lunch, followed by lots of touch rugby games against the other teams.  The closest fought match of the festival appears to have been between one of our Year 6 teams and one of our Year 4 teams and I’m glad it was only “touch” rugby!

Overall, it was a fabulous day with a lot of opportunities to mix with other children from other schools and our thanks go out to the rugby club and the sports leaders from QES who organised and ran the day.
