We have been heating materials to find out how they change. We held a piece of chocolate in our hands and read a long poem about chocolate by Michael Rosen. Whilst we read, the chocolate slowly started to melt, changing from a solid to a liquid. We noted that water changed from a liquid to a gas, when boiled in a kettle.
