Virtual Sports Day – 24th June 2020

As we can’t be together for our Sports Day this year, we thought we would encourage you to take part in a mini sports day at home.  The staff have some ideas for what you might like to do at home (see the video below or follow this link Video although you might want to make sure you’re sitting comfortably with a brew and a biscuit – it takes a while…), although I’m sure you have many great ideas yourselves.

There will be more information coming out in emails over the next few days, but whatever you do, have fun and let us know how you get on!

New Video of our chicks in school

Hope you like this clip of our chicks – they are growing well.

School updates – the chicks are OK!

Just to confirm to the children who might be worried, the chicks are all doing fine.

6 New chicks have arrived in year 5  called Taco Cowin,Tyson fury, Tigger, Dwayne ‘the rock’ Johnson, Chick Damellis and Deontay Wilder. We have learnt that the chicks tongue grows in the egg before the beak; the incubator has to be 38 degrees and the eyes grow first. The chicks spent 21 days, or 3 weeks inside the eggs.  We have two types of chickens, Bantam our yellow and black chick, and Marans – the black ones.
