Sports Premium

At St Mary’s we believe that sport and leading and active life is a very important aspect of life.  The Sports Premium Grant enables us facilitate developing teachers skills, creating sustainable improvement in high quality teaching and learning. Furthermore it enables us to provide opportunities for our pupils to develop their skills and talents above and beyond our PE Curriculum.

What is our strategy?

At our school, we are passionate about helping every child flourish — not just in the classroom, but in all areas of life. Our Sports Premium Strategy is at the heart of this commitment, supporting pupils to enjoy active, healthy, and balanced lifestyles that last well beyond their school years. Through our seven key priorities — including developing staff expertise, building strong partnerships, improving access for all pupils, and promoting health and wellbeing — we aim to give every child the confidence, skills, and motivation to take part in sport and physical activity. We want our pupils to develop positive habits, resilience, and a love for being active that will stay with them throughout their lives, helping them to make healthy choices and lead happy, fulfilled futures.
